Friends of Library
Who are the Friends?
The newly-formed Friends of Canal Fulton Public Library is a non-profit
organization made up of area residents and business people who feel that the
library is the hub of the community. We support the library and its
goals by shouting its praises, volunteering our time and raising funds.
The Friends are seeking individuals and groups who would like to join with
us in this endeavor, whether as an active member or a silent supporter.

Why become a member?
You will meet and work with people who share your interest in the library.
You can use your skills and talents by volunteering in Friends activities.
Your membership will help provide financial aid for library needs and
programming not covered by public funding.
The amount of your contribution may be tax deductible. Please check with
your tax advisor
Everyone is welcome to join, whether you can donate a few hours a month,
or can only contribute your annual membership fee, but want to be informed
about library activities. And remember, we can never have enough
Friends, so

What do the Friends do?
· We raise funds to
supplement
the resources and needs of the
library.
· We purchase library
materials
that could not otherwise be funded by the
library.
· We sponsor library
programs and events.
· We advocate library needs
to local government officials and the
general public.
· We volunteer our time and
talents to the library.
Friendship consists of forgetting what one gives, and remembering what one
receives
As
Friends of the Canal Fulton Public Library, we recognize that the library is one
of our community’s most valued and accessible resources. We pledge to advocate,
educate and seek monetary support on behalf of this community treasure.
By becoming a
member of the Friends, we help your voice to be heard on library issues just as
you help our voice become louder as our membership
grows.
Working together
to make a

The Friends is administered by a Board
of Directors elected by the members of
the organization. Standing and special committees of members carry out the
