Library Board makes cuts for 2010 Calendar Year

The Canal Fulton Public Library will reduce hours in 2010 as a part of a plan to reduce expenditures due to a loss of $200,000 in state library funding from the 2008 funding level. Due to the continuing loss of tax dollars, the Library Board at the December 9, 2009 meeting voted to reduce the number of hours the library will be open in 2010 from the 2009 level of 72 hours per week to 58 hours per week.  The new 2010 hours will be 9 am to 8 pm Monday through Thursday and 10 am to 5 pm Friday and Saturday.  The new hours will go into effect on Saturday, January 2, 2010
