Collections
BiFOLKAL KITS - These reminiscence program materials have been introduced to the library through the generosity of Elsie Schroeder. The kits are designed to promote reflection and expression among generations and are available to be checked out for personal or programming use. Call the library for more information.
BOOKS - The library has more than 50,000 titles available inside the library. Library staff and patrons may also order additional material from other libraries. Stop by or call us to find out how.
BOOKS ON TAPE & CD - The library has a growing collection of unabridged and abridged books on tape and CD.
DVDs - The library has a collection of DVDs covering a wide range of motion pictures, documentaries, and everything in between. DVDs can be checked out for one week, and are available for renewal. An adult card is required to check out a DVD.
ELECTRONIC RESOURCES - Databases on DVD and CD ROM are available to use inside the library. Online databases are also available for use from home or the library. Check out our Reference Page and OPLIN, the Ohio Public Library Information Network, to see what is available. Ask a librarian for assistance.
EQUIPMENT - A selection of equipment may be checked out for home use. Some current items include: a Nintendo Wii Gaming System, telescope, electronic chess set, electronic stud finder, DVD player, tracer projector, two sizes of Have a Heart animal traps, microwave leakage detector, binoculars, headphones, cassette and CD players, short wave radio, Digital Camera, camcorder, slide projector, typewriter, and a sewing machine.
LARGE PRINT ITEMS - The library has a separate section of fiction, devoted specifically to large print titles. New selections are received every month.
LOCAL AND OHIO HISTORY COLLECTION - Materials on the history of Canal Fulton and the surrounding counties are available for use inside the library. Some additional material on the Ohio Canal is also available. Ask a librarian for assistance.
MAGAZINES - The library subscribes to over 200 publications, most of them available for check out.
MUSIC - A variety of music is available on both tape and CD. Titles are shelved by type of music. Categories include: Pop/Rock, Country, Jazz, Classical, Opera, Inspirational, Film/Stage, Misc, Sound Effects, and Local Artists.
NEWSPAPERS - The library subscribes to a variety of national and local newspapers. we keep the past issues for a month.
