The Power of the Plate class prepares you to start a low-fat, plant-based diet, based on the Physicians Committee’s successful 21-Day Vegan Kickstart book. We cover the benefits of a plant-based diet, what groceries to purchase and what a healthful menu looks like.
This is a lifesaving learning experience supported by delicious plant-based recipes that help lower cholesterol, control diabetes, lower blood pressure, and even boost energy and mood. The class features a cooking demonstration, a physician led lecture and handouts of easy and affordable recipes you can prepare at home.
Learning to choose and prepare the right foods rather than restricting food intake is the guiding principle of our class. The results will improve your own wellbeing and that of your loved ones.
